Well, happy belated New Year! Can you believe it's 2012 already?! Seems like time goes faster the older I get. It's crazy! We're already a week into the New Year and I know it'll be spring, then summer, then Christmas again before we know it.
Resolutions - I don't really participate in making resolutions anymore. I find that it's just a big disappointment when you can't achieve them. Hm, maybe my resolutions were always a bit too challenging? Not that I'm afraid of a good challenge or anything. I think it's more that I lost interest or found something else I liked better or perhaps life changed and made that resolution invaluable. So I think this year I'm pursuing my "New Year Resolutions" to be to try to be better at a few things, such as posting my current projects rather than waiting months after the fact to finally get them online for people to view. That said, I haven't the time this evening to start this challenge... maybe next week? Lol!
One thing I know for sure this year that I'd like to accomplish is to be a better organizer in my business. Don't get me wrong... I keep great records! It's just that I need to get them all in one collective place and make it easier to tackle the tax-season! Yup, the start of the new year means that tax season is coming up and I have stacks of paperwork to go through and sort for the gov't. I don't think they'd care for my current state of my records. While it totally makes sense to me, I'm sure they would prefer something a little more IRS approved. Haha.
Another thing I know that I want to achieve is to lose all the baby weight. This of course will have to wait until after our bundle of joy is born... no diets yet! I don't do diets anyway. But I do plan on getting back into running and working out and hopefully some indoor soccer again soon. Heck, I think I could be ready for some late season snowboarding! But first things first... the babe needs to arrive safely and healthy. For that I will be happy. :)
Well, off to work on some more design projects. It's gonna be a busy week! My day-job has been terribly busy trying to get caught up from my coworker being gone, then now trying to get ahead before I take maternity leave. Then I've been working hard on some design pieces for our church. And on top of all of that I will be taking a quilting class with my mom and aunt, so I've been cutting fabric and prepping for that for the past couple weeks whenever I can find time.
This year is gonna be a busy one! But I wouldn't have it any other way. :) Happy Belated New Year!
